We are looking for an experienced Architectural Designer specialized in Cultural projects to join our growing teams in our Beijing Office. Your role will range from the conceptualization to the design development of high-profile Cultural Projects –from Cultural Centers, Libraries, Museums, Theaters, Performing Art Centers, amongst others – through all design stages from concept through construction.

You will have a strong understanding of both architectural design development and project management. You will represent and communicate the project both internally and externally with a strong sensitivity to our design approach. You will collaborate productively with your team and ensure clarity throughout the design and construction processes.

Qualifications:
• You have an excellent academic background with a Master in Architecture or equivalent.
• Your track record encompasses at least 5 years post-qualification in-depth involvement in complex cultural projects through all stages of design and construction.
• You have worked in an internationally acclaimed architectural firm, and paired architectural design sensitivity with technical and managerial knowledge, and are able to communicate design and experience precisely and comprehensibly.
• You excel in a dynamic work environment, and have exemplary time management and delivery skills.
• You are literate in AutoCAD and Adobe CS, ideally also in Rhino and/or Revit.

We are currently looking for a Public Relations/Business Development Assistant to join our Beijing office. As a team player with excellent communication, cross departmental collaboration and multi-task execution skills, and sound attention for details, you are expected to support mainly PR and BD teams, and occasionally project teams. A good understanding of the architectural design industry is preferred.

You will be working in an international and dynamic environment, in close connection with the PR and BD teams in Beijing and other offices of Büro Ole Scheeren.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, company portfolios, CVs, tender documents and etc.
• Support prospect and tender online research activities.
• Responsible for translating PR and BD related documents.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining PR & BD archives and databases.
• Coordinate and prepare PR materials for project publication.
• Aid in the preparation of submissions for design awards, and update social media and website content.

Qualifications:
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Media, Journalism and Communication, Marketing, Advertising, English or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations/business development, preferably with related experience in an architectural design firm.
• Strong language proficiency in Mandarin and English, and translation experience (Chinese-English and English-Chinese) is appreciated.

Due to the rapid growth of our Beijing team, we are looking for an outstanding Senior Architectural Designer with Retail Design experience to lead the team to complete a series of high-end architectural projects, including all stages of work from design to construction.

Applicants need to have a good understanding of our company’s design philosophy, be responsible for project communication within and outside the company, and supervise and direct the team to ensure clear and effective communication throughout the design and construction process.

Applicants need to play a core role in project progress in the daily design and management of our company.

Qualifications:
• You have a Master’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• You have at least 10 years of architecture-related work experience, have in-depth involvement in in large-scale mixed-use design projects, completed all stages of work from design to construction, and served as a senior architect in at least one retail project.

Job Description:
• You have familiarity with overall layouts of retail mixed-use programs, malls, and retail streets, and can quickly analyze any project sites and provide feasible schematic solutions.
• You have an in-depth understanding of the interior circulations and spatial scales of retail-oriented buildings, and can flexibly adapt such understanding to the creation of unique and impactful architectural experiences.
• With the guidance of the team leader, you can independently implement and complete architectural plans of retail-oriented buildings, and provide plan layouts in line with the architectural concept.
• You have substantial understanding of the types and positioning of retail tenants and programs, and are able to lay them out accordingly within an overall plan.
• You have a broad awareness of recent trends of façade designs of retail-oriented buildings, with a strong passion for creativity and for innovation beyond existing solutions.
• You have experience in preparing drawings and documentation of retail facade types, detailing and material applications, and in working with various consultants to ensure the actual technical feasibility of any proposed façade design solutions.
